Timeless Quotes From Tony Horton’s New Book

Maverick here…getting ready to take off Miami to Manila…no I wish it was direct…

It is O Dark 30 here (old military term…meaning…very early!)…and I just can’t leave without putting out some food for thought…

Tony Horton does it again…now he just put out a new book…the link is nothing less than…

No…not P90X…but close it is…what he says to encourage you and push you through any program he has designed…its BRING IT!

Here is how you can get the book…one warning it weighs a lot…I think he is trying to make a point!




In Pages 253-261 he covers the Laws of Health and Fitness…and I just found some timeless quotes I highlighted promptly with my purple permanent marker…if I had pink I would have used that!

Law #1: Variety…according to Tony…and me…variety is the spice of everything…you get stuck on the same rut you are DOOMED to death by boredom! ….

You will never get bored and you’re continually seeing results

I cannot begin to tell you that when I see people at the gym going 4.5 miles per hour on the treadmill, I want to shake them…and say…I used to do that…you are not helping yourself…get into something like Power 90 or 10 Minute Trainer to get yourself into some variety…you will never be the same!

Law #3 – Intensity…from 0 to 10…10 being you are running for your life…you should be between a 6 and an 8…great tip…don’t try to run for your life…but close!

Intensity is finding your fire and working out as hard as you can, based on where you are today (now, here, in the moment – Dino quote), without sacrificing exercise form. Intensity is a moving target too. It changes from day to day, and there are so many variables outside your control. It’s your job to show up, and that’s within your control”

WOW…WOW…WOW…countless days I showed up and did not want to do it or felt like stopping…but…according to another Tony ism…did my best and forgot the rest…and never stopped a Beachbody workout once I started it…that is now going on 32 months.

At the end of the chapter…this is soooo good…
